Happy Ugadi

A mix of two Sanskrit words, ‘Yuga’ which means age and ‘Adi’ which means beginning, Ugadi is celebrated as ‘New Year’ in many parts of the country. People from the states of Maharashtra, Manipur, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh celebrate it as a day which marks the beginning of a new year.
